Rio Ferdinand says he is cheerful that Paulo Dybala didn’t join Manchester United this mid year as the Argentine forward does not have the right “minerals” to play for the club.
Dybala and United had been in talks this mid year over a potential arrangement that would have included Romelu Lukaku making a beeline for Juventus the other way. However, the move didn’t emerge for reasons including the player’s craving to remain in Italy and his compensation requests. Lukaku moved to Inter Milan.
What’s more, talking after a pounding 4-0 United win over Chelsea in which Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s three summer signings all dazzled, Ferdinand accepts the Reds have things directly with their exchange arrangement.

“A great deal of players have declined coming to Man United lately. They’ve picked elsewhere,” he told the Daily Star.
“In any case, I don’t have the foggiest idea how Dybala had the boldness to turn them down when he’s on the seat at Juventus. He needs to begin playing some football.
“Perhaps he’s reasoning: ‘I need to be Champions League or I’ll sit on the seat. I’d preferably do that over play at Man United.’
“All things considered, I’m upbeat he didn’t come at that point, since you lack right minerals that I need in a Man United player!”
New signings Harry Maguire, Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Daniel James were all among the players to star in United’s exciting opening day triumph, with the last scoring the fourth and last objective, while Maguire won Man Of The Match.
Ferdinand says Solskjaer’s inclination for youthful players with appetite to improve will satisfy as United try to come back to their previous wonders.
He included: “I need somebody who needs to come and thinks: ‘Man United need to return to being a top group, I need to be the impetus’. That is the kind of individual you need to get through the entryway.
“Ole has gone with more youthful players. James and Wan-Bissaka are two youthful, youthful, youthful players with immense potential. They’re anticipates.”
